Business Development Manager - France

As Business Development Manager, you’ll use all of your influencing, organisational and commercial skills to build our business passenger numbers and raise our profile in France. You’ll engage with a focused number of corporate clients and TMCs in France to increase incremental bookings. To do this, you’ll develop your own sales strategy, working closely with European colleagues to identify leads and exploit multi-market contacts. We’re always looking to innovate and reduce complexity so any opportunities to make business development more efficient are welcome. This is a European business development team and whilst you’ll be based at our office in Paris, travel will be required across France and to out Head Office in Luton.


What you’ll need:

- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, presentation.
- Team work, able to work in the Business team and other departments.
- Multi-tasking : must be able to manage several requirements and projects at one time.
- Attention to detail : must be rigorous about accuracy.
- Highly organised : must be able to stick to timings, plan workloads and organise their own working week effectively.
- Commercial : must be able to prioritise their time to focus on the biggest wins and not get distracted.
- Negotiation : must be able to construct a winning argument, dealing with experienced buying professionals.
- Gravitas : needs to be taken seriously by senior travel managers and TMC management.
- Analytical : able to review data to direct sales focus and construct negotiation strategies and tactics based on client performance.
- Local knowledge : must have thorough knowledge of relevant country marketplace and dynamics, and possess good contacts and relationships with key contacts in market.
- Languages : must be fluent in French plus English as a strong second language. Additional relevant languages an advantage.
